FARMINGVILLE, NY — Brookhaven Town's Youth Bureau’s INTERFACE Program will help local teens attend their prom this season with confidence and style — regardless of financial circumstances — through its Prom Boutique.
The boutique, which is located on the second floor of Town Hall, is designed to resemble a traditional dress shop and features a wide selection of prom gowns in various styles and sizes so that participants can select a gown and accessories, which are theirs to keep.
Supervisor Dan Panico noted that while the cost of attending the prom continues to rise, the program ensures students can enjoy the "important milestone, feeling proud of how they look and focused on making lasting memories.”
Visits to the Prom Boutique are available by appointment only.
It's available from March 10 through June 12, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and March 31, April 21, May 5, May 19, and June from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
