PATCHOGUE, NY — The snow emergency has been lifted in Patchogue, officials said in a post to the village's website Tuesday afternoon.
Officials declared snow emergency on Saturday, in advance of the snowstorm, on Sunday.
It can be declared with the accumulation of more than two inches of snow, and notifies residents that they are not allowed to park vehicles on the roadways to make it easier for workers to remove snow.
Vehicles that cannot be parked off the street can be moved to village parking lots during the emergency.
The emergency was lifted at around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
